Hey Guys, we are back with another post. Sometimes your pen drives and flash drives get infected by viruses. You open Windows Defender or any other antivirus and delete the virus. But wait, you open your drive and all the data is lost. Where did all your precious files, document, photos and other media went? Read further to get this stuff back. So here we go!!!
If you are using a Windows PC or Laptop, go to Windows defender and clear those virus files. After the virus is cleared, in 90% of cases, all the data from that drive is lost. But if you put the drive in a PC which is not defended with an antivirus, you are giving the virus a new beautiful home to settle. Be sure you have good protection on your PC.
Recover all the data
Once the infected files are removed, open Command Prompt or CMD on your PC and enter the following DOS Command and hit the Enter Key.
attrib –h –r –s /s /d g: *.*
NOTE: Here we assume that the drive is ‘g’. If some other drive is there, write it in place of ‘g’.
NOTE: If you are copy-pasting this command, first copy it to notepad and replace the ‘g’ with the letter which is applicable. Then paste it in Command prompt Window.
That’s all! Go to your drive and your all files will be back.
